Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but over the last two months I've been all over Missouri, campaigning for free elections. I've had booths or been present at a number of county fairs sharing my message with Missourians, I was at several Independence Day celebrations, street festivals, and local events. I've done quite a few radio interviews and was present at several candidates forums. Thanks to everyone who's been supportive and coming out to all these events. I plan on keeping the momentum going full force all they way until election time. Recommend this article...

Event: Harley Davidson Biker Rally Date: May 17, 2008 Location: Grandview, MO Description: A celebration of good food, good music, and good friends.
On May 17th, 2008 Wes Upchurch spent the afternoon meeting with bikers at Harley Davidson in Grandview, Missouri. The event, featured ZZ Top coverband, Sharp Dressed Men, rocking the main stage. There were also plenty of snow cones, burgers, and of course Harley's. The event made for an exciting change of pace in the Wes Upchurch's campaign. The best part Wes says, is that there was a true spirit of freedom in the air. When asked what freedom means, one biker told him, "Freedom means traveling a long open road." If that's true, then road to freedom is one road Wes is ready to travel. Recommend this article...

Event: Harry's Hay Days Parade Date: May 17, 2008 Location: Main Street, Grandview, MO Description: This annual community parade honors the heritage of Harry Truman, our nation's 33rd President and Grandview's native son. Parade on Saturday morning, May 17th,10:00 am, Main St.
On May 17th, 2008 Wes Upchurch marched in the Harry's Hay Days Parade, with Lt. Governor Candidate Teddy Fleck. The annual event, which honors the heritage of Harry Truman, takes place in his home town. Both Libertarians, Teddy and Wes were both met with enthusiasm by those in attendence. When asked about this years theme, "Stars and Strips Forever", both candidates agree that it's a great theme, and hope you'll remember the freedom our flags represent when you go to the polls this November. For Upchurch, honoring this hero of Missouri didn't end when the parade did. After introducing himself with hundreds of Missourians Wes Upchurch, took time to visit the farm where our nation's 33rd President spent the formative years of his life. The humble beginnings of Truman seemed to have further inspired Wes to go out there and make a difference in this world. Wes Upchurch said after the tour, "The overall theme of what Truman learned on the farm, helped him throughout every area of his life. Harry is proof that in a free country, hardwork and dedication do pay off. While he didn't succeed at everything he did, everything Harry did made him a stronger person." Recommend this article...
