I'm a proud citizen of Columbia, Missouri. I moved here in 2007 and have fallen in love with the culture of art, music, and education in Missouri’s heartland. I'm glad to be in a state full of nature, a wide spectrum of local industries, and great learning institutions. What do I do? My youth was marked by achievement and a sharp sense value of community. I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout while in the Boy Scouts and worked diligently in environmental projects as the Great Arkansas Cleanup. My tradition of volunteerism continues today as a representative on Columbia’s Internet Citizens Advisory Group. As a politically active member of the community, I have also worked on a number of ballot initiatives aimed at protecting your rights in this state and nation. Today, I am an Internet design and business development professional with Fläkt Woods’ Missouri subsidiary, SEMCO in Columbia. I am also a proud volunteer representing the citizens of Columbia and Boone County, serving on the W3C’s Working Group on HTML as an ‘Invited Expert,’ I work with organizations to maintain open standards for the Internet and in the development of the next generation of HTML, the language of the Internet. What Qualifies Me to be Secretary of State? I have held leadership roles in the community and in business and have lead the development of corporate Intranet and Internet communication sites so management had improve communication with employees and clients. I can translate these same skills to the Secretary of State’s office, improving communication, improving viability, improving efficiency, improving transparency and improving effectiveness, all to the citizens’ advantage. I am not unlike you. I worked hard to pay my way through life and college. My parents are middle class citizens and I live in a mid-size apartment, working a 9-to-5 job. I understand the issues Missourians face everyday. The problems of the working poor. The problems of the working middle-class. The problems of the single parent trying to maintain a sembelence of control of budget and kids. I will offer reasonable solutions to better the people of this state through the Secretary of State’s office. I will work actively to to remove those government unfair and imposed limitations on small business and on our personal freedoms. I will work to ensure open and fair ballot access for all candidates and free and open voting for all Missourians.

| A strong body makes a strong mind. As to the species of exercise I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion of your walks. – Thomas Jefferson |
